Fred Magnien is a fifth generation native of Morey-Saint-Denis and despite being a negociant he works diligently with his growing team to ensure only the highest quality fruit reaches the bottle. These are wines of place, soul, and power. The fruit from this bottling comes from vines that border grand crus Clos de Tart and Bonnes Mares. This is a fuller, riper Pinot Noir that exudes notes of wild red cherries, black berries, perfumed rose petal, mushroom, black tea leaves, and a fantastic earthy musk. Native yeast fermentation, unfined and unfiltered. Aged in clay amphorae and 35% in neutral oak barrel. Organic and biodynamic. Drink through 2035. Proprietor’s pick.
